Award
Award terms and conditions start from 1January 2010.
Rates listed below become effective from 1 July 2011.
Rates Include Aus Min Wage (AMW) increase of $19.40.

1)
Employment
of Experts and Woolclassers shall be by the day
unless a longer engagement is agreed. Unless the Woolclasser
or Expert has been notified the previous day that their
attendance is not required for that day, then providing
they present themselves as ready, able and willing to
work prior to commencement of work, then they shall be
paid for that day at one-fifth of the appropriate minimum
weekely rate specified in Clause 11.
2)
Woolclassers
& Shed Experts are FOUND employees
All employees are entitled to work on an expeditionary
basis, under which the employer shall provide the employee
with suitable board and lodging free of charge."
3) RATE
OF PAY - WOOLCLASSERS
(a) The PIECEWORK RATE is $291.15 per thousand
fleeces. (All rams and/or ram stags’ wool classed
will be paid for at double the above rate).
(b) The GUARANTEED WEEKLY MINIMUM:
The employer shall pay the woolclasser at the following
rates if the piecework earnings from woolclassing over
of the whole fall short of the relevant weekly amount
for the same period.
